How to Connect AI Assistants to EasySignage Admin?
EasySignage Admin can be connected to AI assistants that support remote MCP servers. This lets an assistant help with supported admin tasks by using the EasySignage Admin API permissions you approve.
Before You Start
- Log in to EasySignage Admin.
- Select the brand you want the assistant to manage.
- Open Settings.
- Click AI Assistants.
- Copy the MCP server URL.
The connection is bound to the selected brand. To connect another brand, switch brand in EasySignage Admin and start a new connection from your AI client.
MCP Server URL
Use the URL shown under Settings > AI Assistants. For most production accounts, the URL is:
https://admin-mcp.easysignage.io/mcp
For the next environment, the URL is:
https://admin-mcp-next.easysignage.io/mcp
Use the connector name:
EasySignage Admin
Connect ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT settings for your workspace.
- Go to Connectors or Apps.
- Enable custom MCP apps if your workspace requires Developer Mode or admin approval.
- Add a custom MCP app.
- Use EasySignage Admin as the connector name.
- Paste the MCP server URL from Settings > AI Assistants.
- Continue the connection flow.
- When the EasySignage Admin consent page opens, review the selected brand and approve only the permissions the assistant should have.
Connect Claude
- Open Claude.
- Go to Customize > Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector or Custom > Web.
- Use EasySignage Admin as the connector name.
- Paste the MCP server URL from Settings > AI Assistants.
- Connect the assistant.
- When the EasySignage Admin consent page opens, review the selected brand and approve only the permissions the assistant should have.
Connect Gemini
- Use a Gemini client or application that supports remote MCP servers.
- Add a remote MCP tool or custom app.
- Use EasySignage Admin as the connector name.
- Paste the MCP server URL from Settings > AI Assistants.
- If you are using the Gemini API, pass the same connector name and URL in the remote MCP tools configuration.
- When the EasySignage Admin consent page opens, review the selected brand and approve only the permissions the assistant should have.
Permissions
During approval, you can grant access by area:
- Users
- Licences
- Players
- Billing
- Account Summary
Choose Read Only when the assistant only needs to view data. Choose Full Access only when the assistant needs to make changes.
Some actions, such as sending invoice emails or updating all players, require an extra confirmation from the assistant because they affect customers or the full brand.
Disconnecting and Revoking Access
Disconnecting inside ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini does not delete the API key created for that connection.
To fully revoke access:
- Open Settings in EasySignage Admin.
- Click API Key.
- Find the API key created for the assistant connection.
- Delete the key.
When offboarding an admin user, review Settings > API Key for assistant connections they approved. Assistant keys are scoped to the brand, not to the admin user’s login.
Troubleshooting
The AI Assistants tab is not visible: the current admin domain does not have an MCP server configured.
The connection says the request expired: start the connection again from the AI client.
The connection cannot create a key: delete an unused key under Settings > API Key, then try again.
The key cannot be used for this brand: make sure the correct brand is selected before approving the connection. If the brand is at its request limit, wait a minute and try again.
